Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to bookings and treatments

Last updated: June 2026

1. About us

This website and the treatments booked through it are provided by Jennifer Kate Donovan, a sole trader trading as Stroud Complementary Therapies(โ€œweโ€, โ€œusโ€, โ€œourโ€). We provide massage and reflexology treatments from a private treatment room near Stroud Town Centre. Home visits are available for seated massage and reflexology โ€” please contact directly instead of booking online.

You can reach us on 07884 497073 or at Stroudct@outlook.com. Our business address is available on request.

2. Bookings and deposits

When you book online, a ยฃ10 deposit is taken to secure your appointment. The deposit is deducted from the total treatment price, with the balance payable on the day by Bacs, Debit card or cash. Your appointment is confirmed once the deposit has been paid.

3. Cancellations, changes and refunds

The deposit is non-refundable. The only option available if you need to change your appointment is to rescheduleโ€” refunds are not given. Rescheduling is offered at our discretion as a goodwill gesture and is not guaranteed, and must be arranged by contacting us directly on 07884 497073; appointments cannot be moved through the website.

There is a strict 48-hour policy: we operate zero tolerance for changes or cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment, and for missed appointments where you do not attend without contacting us. In these cases the deposit is forfeited and the appointment cannot be rescheduled. Please get in touch at the earliest opportunity so the time can be offered to someone else.

If weneed to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you may choose either a full refund of any amount paid or to move your deposit to a new appointment โ€” whichever you prefer.

4. Health and suitability

Our treatments are available to clients aged 18 or over; we ask for your date of birth when you book to confirm this. Every treatment begins with a consultation and a short medical form. Please raise any health concerns, medication, injuries or allergies beforehand. If you have a health concern, please consult your GP before your treatment. Treatments are complementary and are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Please note that pregnancy massages are not offered. We reserve the right to decline or stop a treatment where it would not be safe or appropriate to proceed.

5. Arrival and parking

There is free on-site parking on the gravel drive (please don't park on the road, as you may incur a fine). As there is no waiting room, please arrive for the time of your appointment rather than early. Please also note there are over 30 steps to the treatment room; a mobile service is available if these are difficult.

6. Payments

Online deposits are processed securely by Stripe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers. Your appointment is confirmed once the deposit has been paid. The remaining balance can be paid on the day by Bacs, Debit card or cash.

7. Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for the period stated on the voucher and can be redeemed against any treatment. They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

8. Complaints

We want you to be happy with your treatment. If something isn't right, please raise it with us first on 07884 497073 or Stroudct@outlook.com so we can put it right. We are a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT); if a concern cannot be resolved directly, it may be referred to the FHT.

9. Data protection

How your personal data is handled is described in the Privacy & GDPR notice.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our liability in connection with a treatment is limited to the price paid for that treatment.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England & Wales.
