How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Wear something loose and comfortable e.g. jogging bottoms and a t-shirt, you will keep your underwear on and be able to change in private. During the initial consultation you should raise any health concerns, information about injuries and allergies that you have. Please communicate your preference in terms of aromatherapy and base oils, reflexology balms and pressure.

*Please note, we do not administer pregnancy massages.

If you have a health concern please consult your GP beforehand.

How can I pay?

Clients can pay by Bacs; Debit card or cash.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

We are a small business and do not have a waiting room so please don't arrive more than 5 minutes early. There is free on-site parking on our large gravel drive (please don't park on the road as you are likely to incur a parking fine). If early, there's a chair outside the front door which you can sit on but we don't want you to get cold so please arrive for the time of your appointment and not before.

What should I expect from my first session?

You will have a 15 minute consultation and you will complete a medical form. You can ask any questions and raise any concerns that you may have including health concerns, medication, injuries, and allergies as well as the pressure you would like.

How is Reflexology administered?

A zero-gravity reclining reflexology chair is used which offers comfort and support. It is also portable so we are able to go mobile and visit clients in their homes, particularly if they are unable to climb the steps to the treatment room.

Do you treat people with cancer?

Jen is an Amethyst Trust trained cancer massage therapist. This treatment provides a wellbeing and rejuvenating massage suitable for those with or recovering from illness including cancer. This can aid relaxation and sleep.

Aftercare advice?

In general, stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity and avoid a large meal directly after a treatment. Leave the oils on for as long as you can to experience their benefits such as relaxation and better sleep. If you have had oil in your hair then apply shampoo to dry hair, wash and wash for a second time.
